Our Journey

Following the acquisition of their previous employer by a larger organisation in 2016, Paul Parkinson became aware that the cherished values and ethos cultivated over the years were slowly fading under the shadow of corporate assimilation. Witnessing the erosion of genuine client relationships and the rise of impersonal customer service, Paul knew a change was imperative.

In early 2017 Paul made the decision to form a Company with the vision to provide technical services of the highest standard at competitive market rates, whilst retaining excellent Client interactions. With a team of just four, Spliceteq emerged into the market in June 2017, buoyed by the trust of a forward-thinking client who saw the promise in supporting a fresh endeavour.,.

Since then, Spliceteq has charted an impressive trajectory, defying odds and surpassing expectations. From its humble beginnings, the company has blossomed into a thriving entity, now boasting a dedicated team of over 30 professionals. Our client base reads like a testament to our commitment—established ISPs, burgeoning Alt-nets, and Tier One Contractors across the UK entrust us with their projects, be it new builds, PIA, or maintenance contracts.

Meet the Team

Paul Parkinson

Chief Executive Officer

Paul has been CEO and owner of Spliceteq since its formation in October 2017. Prior to this, Paul held the position as lead Fibre Engineer, working within large scale network builds for Companies, such as Virgin Media, Vodafone, City Fibre and Zayo. Over his eighteen-year career as a Fibre Engineer Paul has played a key role in leading teams during the construction of many network builds and customer connections.
Since forming Spliceteq, Paul has managed to build a strong dedicated workforce of Fibre Engineers and cable teams that deliver to the same high standards that he delivered whilst working.
Paul, alongside his dedicated management team, is responsible for overseeing all projects to ensure Client satisfaction at every stage of the build.

Jack Thomas

Director of Programme & Delivery

Jack joined Spliceteq in 2019, with 12 Years of experience in the telecommunications industry demonstrating an ability to overcome and achieve in any situation and a willingness to learn and try new things.

A qualified Fibre Engineer, with extensive knowledge of working in the field building fibre optic networks, and now managing projects on behalf of some of the industry's largest Internet Service Providers, Jack ensures programme delivery targets are met whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality across the build. Jack also takes responsibility for Spliceteq’s civil engineering department, from initial customer enquiry, site surveying, and commercial viability through to construction.

Sarah Conway

HSE&Q Auditor

Sarah joined Spliceteq in 2022 following a successful career as a Health Care professional with the NHS and is responsible for ensuring that our operations are compliant with legislation, and our policies and procedures.

Sarah is also our Mental Health and Wellbeing Champion.

Taylor Hugo

Project Manager

Taylor joined Spliceteq in 2022, As a fibre splicer showing great skills of communication and project deadline acknowledgement. Since 2024 Taylor has taken on project manager role for Spliceteq South.
A telecommunication background with 13 years’ experience in network build, expansion, fault finding and testing. He also spent over 3 years’ managing various technical site builds for a team of subcontractors.

Ellie Brabben

Project Coordinator

Ellie joined Spliceteq in 2021, as an experienced operations manager, Ellie’s primary role is the management of the Company’s operational and Client interface.
An analytical thinker whose strength in coordination & resource planning coupled with a focus on productivity maximisation ensures cost efficiency for our Clients.
A high level communicator across all platforms, as a member of the Senior Management Team, Ellie has been at the forefront of the year on year growth that Spliceteq has enjoyed.

Alex Webster

Senior Fibre Engineer

Alex began his career with HMP Service working on data cable installations (CAT5a) then moving to a major contractor working on behalf of Virgin Media carrying out in-house installations and installing HFC networks.
Alex joined Spliceteq in 2019 as a Fibre Engineer and was promoted to Senior Fibre Engineer in 2023 in recognition of his technical ability and knowledge, leadership and communication skills.

Since 2017, Spliceteq has grown from a fibre contractor become to become a multi-disciplinary engineering specialist contractor undertaking large scale infrastructure and turnkey projects throughout the UK. We deliver quality fibre and data cable services including survey, planning, design, build, maintenance and emergency response services.

As an independent connection provider (ICP) our turnkey EV charging solutions negate the need for multiple contractor interfaces as we deliver everything from planning and design through civils and installation, as a full EPC service. Our business maintains a proud philosophy of providing excellent customer service and value. We have built our reputation on reliability and efficiency. Working with a wide range of customers from large corporate organisations to smaller owner-operated businesses, our expertise, experience and dedication to customer service stands us apart as the delivery partner of choice.
